Within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, several keyboard shortcuts are set up to get your work done faster. You will find that you will benefit greatly in your daily work if you use them. For example, do you know the shortcut key F6 in Business Central? Or Alt+F2? And F5?
- F6 in Business Central takes you to the next quick tab.
- Alt+F2 flips the fact block section closed, or open.
- With F5 you refresh the data in your screen.
And so there are lots of keyboard shortcuts available.
Instead of moving the mouse and clicking, you can use a hotkey for many actions in BC.
This is much faster and also less error-prone!
How do you get an overview of keyboard shortcuts in Business Central?
Click on the question mark in the application bar and choose the "Shortcuts" option
You then go to: https://learn.microsoft.com/nl-nl/dynamics365/business-central/keyboard-shortcuts
Here you get an overview of the keyboard shortcuts and if you click on the picture you get the full picture with all the shortcuts, as below.
And the latest shortcut, as of version 21 (Oct. 2022), is:
Ctrl+O : for switching to another company (it is not yet listed above)
